About the Show
Dan Meier is a performance artist who specializes in the extremely dangerous and very narrow field of truly “cutting edge" entertainment: sword-swallowing.
Dan Meier is a Guinness World Record holder, featured by Ripley’s Believe It or Not, and is recognized as the most famous sword swallower performing in the world today! He has a special show produced just for Oktoberfest festivals and events around the world.
About Dan Meier
Sword Swallower DAN MEIER grew up a scared shy wimpy kid teased and beat up by the bullies, but vowed he would someday perform superhuman feats, DO the IMPOSSIBLE, and change the world.
Today, Dan mixes DANGER, LAUGHTER, SWORDS and FUN to defy death and inspire audiences to do the impossible with a smile. His unique skills and fun family shows have wowed audiences in over 50 countries around the world, earning him acclaim by Ripley’s Believe It or Not as the “World’s MOST FAMOUS Sword Swallower” for his amazing death-defying feats.
Dan now holds 40 World Records and has been seen by over 750 million in over 50 countries around the world, from the Today Show and CNN to the Finals of America’s Got Talent, France’s Got Talent, Italy’s Got Talent, and Israel’s Got Talent. In 2007, Dan won the 2007 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine at Harvard, and his viral TED Talk “Cutting through Fear” is the “Most Translated TED Talk” in the world translated in over 75 languages.
